
Naomi Grossman (nee Hussey), 84, of Allentown, PA (formerly of Chichester, NH), died peacefully at Muhlenberg/Lehigh Valley Hospital in Bethlehem, PA, following a brief illness. Born March 14, 1932 in Concord, NH, she was the daughter of the late Alvin and Daisy (Kilmister) Hussey of Chichester, NH. Graduating from Concord High School in 1950, and the University of New Hampshire in 1954, Naomi began work as an Occupational Therapist in New York City, later moving to Princeton, NJ, and settling in Allentown, PA, where she met her husband Samuel, who predeceased her three years ago. Earning a Master’s Degree in Counseling/Special Education in her early career, she then dedicated her 50+ year career to serving children with special needs, founding the Vitalistic Therapeutic Center and Charter School of the Lehigh Valley, which she led for 38 years.
Members of her family include her daughter, Leah Ruth of Allentown, PA; her son, Seth Grossman and his wife, Lisa and grandson Aiden all of Parkland, FL; sister, Daisy Day; sister in law, Dorothy Hussey; nieces, Carol Linder, Cheralyn Jewell, Christine Arsenault and her husband, Wilford Arsenalut, Susan Coffee and her husband, Edwin Coffee; nephews, David Hussey and wife, Naomi, Gary Underwood and Dwayne Underwood; 5 grandnephews and 2 grandnieces.
A calling hour will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 from 10-11am at the United Baptist Church, 39 Fayette St. Concord, NH followed by funeral service at 11am.
