

Born in Newport, NH, he resided in Bow for the last 43 years. He served in the US Marine Corps and the Merchant Marines. He was a machinist and owned and operated NALCO machine shop.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with his family and spent many enjoyable winters in Florida.
He was devoted to his family and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Norman is survived by his four children, Susan Maxfield and her husband Gilbert of Northwood, Sally Pierce and her husband Robert of South Kingstown, RI, Steven Leighton and his wife Mary of Bow and Michael Leighton of Manchester. He also leaves behind eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held from 4pm-7pm on Friday, December 10, 2010 at the Bennett Funeral Home, 209 N. Main Street, Concord.
Funeral services will take place on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at 11am at the funeral home.
Interment will take place in the spring.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
The Bennett Funeral Home of Concord is in charge of the arrangements.
