She shared her knowledge teaching students for over 40 years, many of whom became her closest friends and were known as “the painting class girls”.

Her ambition to keep her large family in touch with each other, started her organizing their 10 generations of genealogy and years of family reunions at her home.

Pat was an avid gardener who had a plot at Birch Street Community Gardens for over 20 years. She was the ultimate entertainer who would not blink an eye at throwing a dinner party for 100 people and there were plenty of parties! especially those at the Sweeney’s beloved cottage on Northwood Lake.

Her friends and family were very important to her and her two daughters were her pride and joy. Her personality, her giving heart, her love for sitting in the sun and her beautiful singing voice will be missed by all that knew her.
