Phyllis married her sweetheart Jim and were married for 52 years living in Concord, NH. They spent the first of their marriage traveling while Jim was in the Air Force to France and England. After they returned to the United States, they lived in Texas, Nevada and Florida where she worked as a waitress and bartender. When they moved back to New Hampshire, she started work at Sprague Electric until she retired. She enjoyed camping, cooking, (She made the best fudge ever), deep sea and fresh water fishing, dancing, traveling, motorcycle trips with family and friends. She enjoyed participating in the Sprague electric shows, where singing and comedy was her favorite. She was a member of the VFW post and eagles club in Concord, NH for many years. She was also a member of the Land Mark Baptist Church of Loudon, NH.
For Phyllis spending time with her family and friends was very important to her. No one that met her was an outsider, you were never alone, and everyone was family to her.
Phyllis is survived by her daughters; Nancy Martin of Concord, NH and Marcia Weeks of Durby, VT. She was a grandmother of 17 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 13 great great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband; James Weeks, daughter; Karen Greenwood, Son; John Weeks, Brothers; Albert Wombolt, George Wombolt and Richard Wombolt.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Phyllis’s memory to the Land Mark Baptist Church in Loudon, NH or Granite VNA Hospice in Concord, NH.
Calling hours for Phyllis will be held on Tuesday February 27, 2024 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., immediately followed by a Funeral Service starting at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at the Blossom Hill Cemetery in Concord, NH 0330.
