Robert Snyder of Epping, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at the age of 89. Born in Salem, Massachusetts, on January 31, 1936, Robert lived a full and vibrant life marked by service, passion, and devotion to family.
An Army veteran and proud member of the Fraternal Order of Free Masons, Robert embodied integrity and dedication in all he did. A lifelong car enthusiast, he was well-known at local car shows, often arriving behind the wheel of one of his beloved Corvettes or his prized Shelby. On Sundays, he and his wife could often be found taking scenic drives that inevitably led to Lago’s Ice Cream, where Robert delighted in sharing a cone with the family dogs.
Robert’s professional life was equally distinguished. As an engineer for Avco-Textron Laboratories, he contributed to numerous government projects over the course of his long and accomplished career.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 41 years, Catherine (Eleanor) Snyder (née Bucci); his grandson, William, and husband, Drew Keating, of Concord, New Hampshire; and his daughter, Cheri Snyder of New Mexico.
Family and friends are invited to attend Calling Hours on Friday, November 14, 2025, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m, with a Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. at Bennett Funeral Home in Concord, NH. A private burial will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Robert’s memory to the New Hampshire SPCA, honoring his love for animals and the joy they brought to his life.
