Robert E. Weyersberg of Bow, NH has passed on to be with our lord and his late wife June on Friday, August 10, 2018 after a long illness. Bob was born October 3, 1936 in a hurricane to the late Herman Robert and Evelyn Weyersberg of Lyndhurst, NJ. Bob lived his life dedicated to law enforcement. After graduating high school he entered the US Army and served over 2 years. He joined the Lyndhurst Police Department in 1960 till 1970 and also served on the PBA. In 1970 he then became a U.S. Deputy Marshal in Newark, NJ for 5 years before moving to Bow, NH where he continued to serve as a U.S. Deputy Marshal for another 18 years. After retiring, Bob then continued as Bankruptcy Court Security Senior Officer for another 20 years before retiring in 2015. He was also a 32nd degree Mason.
In his life he enjoyed collecting Hot Wheels and spending collector’s day with his friends. Bob also enjoyed family dinners, spending time with family, playing poker with his very close friends and was known for showing a special kindness to strangers and saw the good in people and always believed in giving a second chance.
Bob raised 4 children and is survived by a son Timothy Campbell of North Pole, Alaska, a daughter Jamie-Lynn Dentremont and her husband James of Manchester, NH and son Robert Weyersberg and wife Ann Rolya of New York. Bob was the eldest of 4 boys and is also survived by his brother Richard of Ontario, NY, His late wife June, his late brothers Ralph and Ronald of NJ and many nieces and nephews and his faithful companion, Clarabelle, his puppy who has given him great comfort and companionship.
He also leave behind many grandchildren, Melissa Jette Michael and husband Jason, Seth Jette, Cortney Campbell Gomez and husband Dennis Gomez, Ashley Campbell, Jeffrey and Daniel Dentremont. Great grandchildren, Lyla June, Victoria Rose and Naomi Alysia and Rory Beckett.
There will be a huge loss to many hearts of whom this amazing man of those who knew him and lives he has touched, especially his children.
Calling hours will at The Bennett Funeral Home, 209 N Main St, Concord, NH 03301 on Tuesday, August 14th from 5:00-8:00 pm. There will be a service for family and friends the following morning Wednesday, August 15th at 10:00 am at the Bennett Funeral Home.
