Rose Marie Day

Rose Marie Day, 63, of Concord, NH passed away on Monday, April 29, 2019 at Concord Hospital surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Concord, NH on June 23, 1955 the daughter of Charles W. and Alice L. (King) Philbrick.

Rose loved to cook and pick wild blueberries. She also enjoyed yard sales and collecting rare ceramic cookie jars. Rose had a great passion for gardening and canning the harvests. She was an avid crocheter and took great pride during the past four years in making preemie and newborn hats to donate to the local newborn intensive care unit.

Rose was predeceased by her parents, Charles “Charlie” Philbrick and Alice (King) Aiken; her sister, Sheila Tibbetts and her brother, Charles Philbrick.

Members of her family include her daughter, Tracey Barnes of Concord; sons, Steve Corey and his wife, Holly of Allenstown, Mike Corey of Concord and Jason Day and wife, Lauren of Weare; grandchildren, Dillon Corey, Maddison Corey, Emma Corey, Tyler Corey, Autumn Corey, Zachary Day, Alyssa Day, Austin Day, Paige Day, Alice and Amber Barnes; close friends, Earl Couch, Robin Berube and loyal nursing assistant, Laura Langill; uncle, Maynard King; half-sister, Bonnie Phillips and many friends, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held at Bennett Funeral Home, 209 North Main St. Concord from 10AM to 1PM on Wednesday, May 8, 2019. A graveside service will take place at Blossom Hill Cemetery, 207 North State Street Concord at 1:30PM on Wednesday, May 8, 2019.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions maybe made to Perry Brothers Monument Co., 253 Sheep Davis Rd Concord, NH 03301, to assist the family in purchasing a monument for Rose. Memorial contributions may also be made in memory of Rose to a local hospital NICU.
