

Rosemary was born on July 29, 1926 in Concord, NH to Frank and Laura Beede and raised in Penacook, NH. She graduated from Penacook High School in 1943 and from Colby Junior College in 1945. Rosemary married her high school sweetheart, Lawrence (Joe) Fournier on September 27, 1947 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Penacook. Her favorite career was being a mother to her four children, and later a grandmother, and great grandmother, to many. In her early years as a mother, she was also active in the Penacook Women’s Junior League and as a Girl Scout Leader.
After the passing of her beloved husband, Lawrence (Joe) Fournier on July 30, 1982, she began working at the Penacook Youth Center where she enjoyed her work and made many friends. Rosemary enjoyed reading, word puzzles, knitting, bird watching, and spending time with her growing family. She loved spending time at Short Sands Beach in York, Maine. She loved outings at the Golden Rod Restaurant with her family, and the salt water taffy made there. Her favorite was the peanut butter taffy. She loved listening to an array of music, from Michael Buble` and Tina Turner to Tom Jones and Dean Martin. Her favorite time of the year was Christmas time; enjoying the lights and music of Christmas and the gathering of her family. She was happiest when her whole family was together. Rosemary was an avid sports fan and could be seen watching her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren participating in sporting events and dance recitals. She loved her many pets and particularly appreciated her cats. She is remembered with love and fondness as a sweet, fun, sassy woman. Her sassiness summed up in her favorite yearbook quote; “Man has his will, Woman has her way.”
Rosemary is survived by her children; Mary Jo Bergeron (Gary), Jill Egounis (Doug), Mark Fournier (Lynn), and John Fournier (Susan). Her grandchildren: Sarah Egounis (Mark O’Dowd), Justin Egounis, Adam Egounis (Jackie), Annie Egounis (Matt Morris), Nick Fournier (Leah Haynes), Brandy McGirr, Mariah Fournier (Cameron Reever), Joseph Fournier (Amber), James Fournier (Kayley) Her great grandchildren: Lilly Ava Egounis, Colby John Egounis, Stella Rose Fournier, Jaylyn Rose McGirr, Nova Marie Cordero, Paisley Grace and Abigail Mai Egounis, Emma Rose Huckins, Madison Marie Morris and Violet Rosemary Fournier. As well as many nieces and nephews.
Rosemary is predeceased by; her husband Lawrence Eugene (Joe) Fournier, her father Frank S. Beede, her mother Laura Dyer and her brother Lawrence S. (Chick) Beede.
A graveside service is scheduled at Woodlawn Cemetery Penacook, NH on Friday September 16 at 3:00pm. Care for the family has been entrusted to Bennett Funeral Home 209 North Main Street Concord, NH.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested to consider making a donation to the Audubon Society in Rosemary's honor.
