Ruth was born in Lynn, Massachusetts on August 26, 1920 to Charles and Jennie (Powers) Hadley. She was a 1938 graduate of Lynn English High School.
Ruth dedicated her life to being a loving and faithful wife, mother and grandmother. She took pride in keeping her home always open and ready to welcome family and guests. Her most treasured times were family gatherings.
Ruth was a faithful member of the Concord First Church of the Nazarene, now New Beginnings Church of the Nazarene in Loudon, where she was active in the Missionary Society and devoted to the care of infants and toddlers. Her belief in the power of prayer was instrumental in sustaining the spirit of the church and was a comfort and encouragement to those around her.
Ruth was predeceased by her loving husband, Ralph, of nearly 70 years in 2011 and by her beloved sister, Mildred Lape, in 2012. She is survived by her daughters, Janet Larson (David) of Clemmons, North Carolina, and Bethany Angell (Gordon) of New London, Connecticut, and her son, Ralph Parsons (Rachel) of Warner, New Hampshire, and her brother-in-law, Ernest Lape of Concord, as well as 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, March 6, from 5-7 pm at New Beginnings Church of the Nazarene, 33 Staniels Road, Loudon, New Hampshire. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, March 7, at 2:00 pm at the church. Spring burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Pembroke. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to either New Beginnings Church of the Nazarene or Concord Regional Visiting Nurse Association, 30 Pillsbury St, Concord, NH 03301.
Ruth’s family will remember her as a model of faith, compassion and love.
