

Sean Patrick O'Connor, 55, of Washington, New Hampshire, passed away on August 8th after a sudden illness. Sean was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts on October 19th 1970, son of Joann O’Connor. He was raised in a large Irish American family outside Boston. Sean was a man of many talents and interests. He was a devoted family man and one of the most intelligent and resourceful people you would ever meet. Sean’s devotion to his family was evident in his personal philosophy that every problem could be solved, from plumbing, electrical wiring, automotive repair, home repair, landscape design, you name it. He would be the first to learn and overcome ANY challenge, and typically, become an expert on ANY subject . Sean was a passionate gun owner who frequented the range with his sons. Sean taught his sons everything he knew about their shared gun passion, starting a youtube channel BackwoodsNHBoys, sharing videos of backyard fires and shooting guns.
An ardent chef, Sean enjoyed using exotic ingredients to create masterful combinations of flavor. He loved his pet canines who were always by his side while plowing the driveway or hiking in the woods. He loved the ocean, was an avid scuba diver who frequently engineered his own diving apparatuses that he used for hours exploring the rocks of Lamoine Beach, Maine. He was incredibly quick witted, as friends and family can attest he was a master of comebacks and comments that could elevate any situation into a moment that would be remembered forever. He was employed for 10 years at Usherwood Office Technologies where he served as vCIO/Senior Systems Analyst.
A special thanks to the Police, Fire Chief, and Emergency Medical First Responders in Old Orchard Beach, Maine Area for their professionalism and compassion. Sean is survived by his wife Christine Drane, son Jared and Zachary. Sister-in law Carlotta Girouard, John Girouard, nephew Eli Girouard. Brother & Sister in -Law Steve and Cindy Drane, nieces, Rory & Victoria. Sister- in -law, Laura Drane. He is survived by numerous cousins, second cousins and extended family throughout Massachusetts.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, August 24, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at The Barn at Bull Meadow, located at 63 Bog Road, Concord, New Hampshire. A ceremony will be held from 12:30-1:30 and family, friends, and colleagues are invited to gather, share stories, and honor a man whose life was a masterclass in devotion, passion, and unconditional love. There will be refreshments, sandwiches, fruit, cheese and dessert items.
In addition to any stories, pictures or comments written on the funeral website, it is asked that anyone who knew Sean, as a child and young man, would communicate with Jared, his son. Jared is working to complete a book about his father’s childhood and has a list of questions that he would like to ask those who knew his father. Any communication would be greatly appreciated.
