

Shirley Schneider, 91, a lifelong resident of Concord, NH, died Sunday, September 28, 2014, peacefully at her nephew’s house in Billerica, Massachusetts. Shirley was born in Concord on February 10, 1923, daughter of the late George and Ella (Fisher) Schneider of Concord, NH.
Shirley graduated from Concord High School, class of 1939.
In past years, she was a loan officer for the US Small Business Administration.
Shirley was a long-time member of the South Congregational Church and was active in the Genesis/Madisses Circle. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Buntin-Rumford-Webster Chapter.
Shirley enjoyed spending her summers at Baboosic Lake in Merrimack, NH, where she would spend time with family. She loved gardening and doing lake activities such as boating and waterskiing. She was a member of the Baboosic Lake Association. Shirley loved exploring all parts of New Hampshire. She also enjoyed spending time along the Maine coast.
Shirley is survived by her nephew Thomas Morgan and his wife Paulette, of Billerica, MA, her great-niece Karen Morgan of Bedford, NH, her great-nephew Brian Morgan of Billerica, MA and several cousins. She is pre-deceased by her sisters Marjorie Morgan and Katherine Schneider and her brother Gordon Schneider.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, October 9, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Bennett Funeral Home, 209 N. Main Street, Concord (for GPS directions please use 3 Church Street). Funeral services will take place at the South Congregational Church, 27 Pleasant Street, Concord, NH, on Friday, October 10, at 10:00 a.m. A burial service will follow the church service at the Last Rest Cemetery, 7 Hillside Terrace, Merrimack, NH. Donations may be made in her memory to the South Congregational Church.
