Sudhi was born on January 22, 1945 in Mysore, Karnataka, India to Ramarao and Janakibai Luckoor as the second oldest of four children. After pursuing his higher education in Civil Engineering at Coimbatore, he moved to the state of Maharashtra seeking employment in both public and private sectors. He immigrated to the United States in 1980, first to Texas, then Ohio, before settling in Concord, New Hampshire for over 35 years. He worked for the New Hampshire state Department of Transportation as a civil engineer designing highways. Sudhi was known for his good sense of humor, his charming smile, and his polite demeanor. Among those who knew him, he was known for his witty one-liners, loving personality, and kind and affectionate soul.
Sudhi was a devoted husband to Anusuya Luckoor for 47 years and a caring father for his daughter Sowmya and his son-in-law Suryakumar. He was also a doting grandfather to his grandson Anshul. He was an affectionate brother to his sister Srivani and late siblings Premalatha and Ravindra and a loving uncle to all of his nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews. Sudhi was a very family-oriented man who spent as much time as he could with his family and friends. He was a coffee connoisseur who enjoyed keeping up with the latest news in both America and India. He cherished the time he spent with his family and was immensely proud of their accomplishments. Sudhi enjoyed singing bhajans with his deep melodious voice at family events, working on home improvement projects, enjoyed exploring and going on travels with family.
Sudhi will be remembered dearly as a kind, sincere, dignified, loving person who loved his family and enjoyed the simple things in life. He will be immensely missed by all that were fortunate enough to know him and his legacy will always be remembered.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday June 22, 2022 from 10-11 AM at the Bennett Funeral Home, 209 N. Main Street, in the chapel in Concord. Funeral services will be private.
