Susan Lavigne, 71, of Concord, New Hampshire, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 20, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Ralph Barton and Marjorie Stewart of Franklin and Quincy, Massachusetts, respectively.
Susan graduated from Franklin High School and attended Franklin Pierce College where she earned her Bachelor’s of Science degree. She worked as an accountant and most recently a student loan advisor at the New Hampshire Higher Education Loan Corporation. An avid reader, Susan was never without a book.
For anyone that knew Susan, they knew she was a lover of life. Every day was filled with greeting, meeting, and socializing whether with friends at the Good Life Center or strolling the trail at Sewalls Falls. She enjoyed the company of all she met. She loved nature, whether it was the herons along the Merrimack and Ogunquit Rivers; or the wildlife she encountered along her many trail walks. The only thing that surpassed her love for nature was her love for her children and grandchildren who she adored. Although life will miss her; all those who know her will never forget her.
Susan is survived by her husband, John Lavigne of Concord; her son, Christopher Lavigne and his wife, Andrea Lavigne; her daughter, Alyson Lavigne and her husband, Erick Barrón; four loving grandchildren, Nicolas, Christopher, Leo and Santi; and two sisters, Joanne Tiberi and Pam Bobigian. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
A celebration of her life is being planned for late spring
