William Bogalis, 77, of Concord passed away on May 30, 2024 from complications of lymphoma which was in partial remission. Bill leaves his adoring wife of 54 years Christine, devoted loving daughters Emily and Stephanie, son-in-law Dale, sister Nikki and nephew Nicholas, and many cousins. He was predeceased by his mother Constance (1994) and his father Nicholas who he sorely missed since 1962, as well as many aunts and uncles who he loved dearly.
Bill graduated from Memorial High School and New Hampshire College in Manchester, NH. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy serving on the USS Kennedy during Vietnam.
Bill had a lifelong love of history and keeping up with current events. He was very handy and resourceful, always making where we lived a home from wallpapering to woodwork, and also enjoyed crochet and needlework. He loved 70s music and classic country and enjoyed many road trips and living in new places with his wife. He was a lifelong Red Sox and Bruins fan. Like his father, he was a private and quiet man on the outside but large as life to his inner circle with his dry humor, wit, and compassion. He was deeply devoted to his Christian faith. He also had a special place in his heart for longtime friends June, Robyn, Debbi, and David.
We love you, Daddy. There will only be one “Billy Boy.”
We would like to thank Concord Hospital, the Payson Center, and Granite VNA for their outstanding care.
Burial will be at Veteran’s Cemetery in Boscawen, NH on Friday June 7 at 11:30am after military honors and Trisagion prayer, Epistle, and gospel readings. A private family gathering will be held immediately following services.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a Veteran charity of your choosing or VA Boston Fisher House 1400 VFW Parkway, West Roxbury, MA 02132.
The Bennett Funeral Home 209 N. Main St. Concord, NH is assisting the family with arrangements.
