

William was born in Franklin, NH on November 29,1954 to Lorraine Abbott and William L. Remington.
Bill grew up in Franklin NH and attended Franklin schools. At the age of 17, he joined the United States Army, and served in the 89th Transportation Company in Germany. While serving in the military, he met his wife Gudrun. Bill also served in the National Guard.
In 1989, Bill returned to the United States to re-establish, and then brought his wife and daughter here in 1990, where they made Concord NH their home.
Bill worked many years for Amtrak/MBTA & the B&M Railroad as a Locomotive Engineer, and was a member of the BLET 191 Union. Later, he became a long-haul truck driver, and eventually opened his own trucking company, Remington Transportation. Throughout his trucking career, he received many awards of Excellence.
One of Bill's favorite things to do was to spend time with family and friends. He had many talents, one of them being a great handy-man, and he was always willing to help anyone in need. Bill always held a high standard of making sure things were done correctly, and safety was his top priority.
Bill is predeceased by his mother, Lorraine Abbott; his pops, Hugh Abbott; sister, Samantha Abbott; and father, William L. Remington.
Bill leaves behind his wife of 40yrs, Gudrun Remington; his daughter Vanessa Remington and her fiance Harley Huntress.
He also leaves his brothers, Joseph Remington (Wendy) of Northfield NH, Kevin Remington (JoJo) of Littleton NH, and Anthony Abbott (Tina) of Northfield NH; sisters, Lynn Labrie (Art) of Bath NH, Tonya Gregoire (Phil) of Bow NH, and Kathy Abbott of Concord NH; nieces, Sarah, Annie, Ashley and Isabelle; nephews, Bryant, Jon, David, Chadrick, and Zacharey - all who he loved very much; a very special Aunt and Uncle, Richard and Mary Cross of Northfield NH; along with many cousins, great nieces, nephews, friends, and colleagues.
He also leaves behind his beloved pets Casey & Peter.
Bill will be missed Immensely by all that knew and loved him.
