Alice Rebecca Brooks Wilson

Alice Rebecca Brooks Wilson, age 74, of Conover passed away on Friday, February 21, 2014 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born June 15, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Howard Brooks and Naomi Roberta Hendrix Brooks.

Mrs. Wilson is survived by a son, Billy Wilson Jr. and wife, Sharon, of Newton; daughter, Susan Powell of Catawba; sister, Kathy Brooks Setzer of Newton; brother, Bill Brooks of Newton; grandchildren, Billy Wilson III, Roxanne Chatman, Jenny Powell, Naomi Powell, James Powell; great-grandchildren, Tommie Chatman, Ashley Chatman, Ava Trent; special nieces, Cindy Foster and Lisa Caldwell.

A Service of Remembrance will be held on Monday, February 24, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Drum Funeral Home in Conover with Rev. Arthur Yount officiating. Burial will follow at Eastview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. on Monday prior to the service.

Mrs. Wilson’s family would like to express appreciation to the staffs of Conover Nursing Home and CVMC 5th Floor CCU for their special care.
