For many years, Anita and her husband owned and operated a restaurant together, a life of steady work and shared purpose that reflected the care she extended to others and the value she placed on community.
Anita found her greatest joy in the everyday moments that mattered most—time spent with her grandchildren, sitting on the porch with her beloved dog, Angel, going shopping, and talking on the phone. In these simple routines, her gentle spirit and the warmth she offered so freely were felt most clearly.
In addition to her parents, Anita was preceded in death by brothers, Larry, Marty, Bob and Gary Townsend, and a sister, Vickie Townsend.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 40 years, William Lanny Parker; daughters, Danielle Walsh, Renae Walker and spouse John Prater, and stepdaughter, Tammy Parker; a stepson, Chad Parker; grandchildren, Christopher Shook, Brandon Blackburn and fiancé Brittany Anthony, Miranda Walsh and fiancé Tyler Bias, Lathan Walker, and Kailey Walker; great grandchildren, Bryson Anthony, Briella Bias, Bentley Shook, Braxton Blackburn, Wrenly Bias and Greylan Bias; brother, Mike Townsend; and sisters, Renae Helms and husband Robbie, Susan Townsend and Arlene Spann; and her beloved dog, Angel.
No services are planned.
