Born December 18, 1958 in Catawba County, he was the son of Mary Shook Hedrick Huffman and the late Carl Frederick Hedrick. Ray loved hunting, fishing and outdoor sports.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Hedrick.
In addition to his mother, left to cherish his memory are sisters, Elizabeth Shook and husband, Roy, Sheryl Johnson, and Ruby Huffman, all of Claremont; brothers, William Huffman and Rick Hedrick; two nieces and five nephews.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2015 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Drum Funeral Home in Conover.
