

She was born in Catawba County on February 8, 1937 to the late D. Gaither Yount and Willie B. Yount.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Charles R. Keisler of the home; a daughter, Kristina (Tina) Propst and husband Frank of Conover; a son, Tim Keisler and wife Kelley of Conover; two grandsons, Adam Keisler and wife Meredith of Hillsborough, NC; Corey Keisler and wife Lindsay of Conover; great-grandchildren, Audrey Kate Keisler of Hillsborough, NC, Jeb Franklin Keisler of Conover and his soon to be born brother in March; one sister, Ruth Rockett and husband Dwight; two brothers, Hugh Yount and wife, Camilla, Paul Yount and wife, Willie all of Conover, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Carolyn spent her working years as a secretary for the Catawba County Schools Administration, retiring after 30+ years of service.
She was a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Conover where she was an active member of the senior choir for many years.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at the church, with the funeral service to follow on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at 3:00 p.m., also at St. John’s, with Rev. Scott Johnson and Rev. Anton Lagoutine officiating. Burial will follow immediately after the service in the church cemetery.
