Charles Richard Ramsey

Charles Richard Ramsey, of Maiden, NC, passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at the age of 78. Charles was born in York, SC on Sunday, December 28, 1947 to the late Jack Ramsey and Hattie Dover Ramsey.

In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his brothers, Jerry Ramsey, Kenneth Ramsey; and sister, Cathy Grant.

Charles was a loving husband, father, grandfather. Charles worked as a truck driver for many years. When he wasn’t behind the wheel of his truck, Charles enjoyed his favorite pastimes - riding in cars, exploring back roads, taking scenic drives, and enjoying the freedom of the open road. Whether traveling alone or with family and friends, he found joy in every journey and never needed a special destination to appreciate the ride.

Those left to cherish Charles’ memory are his wife, Tina Ramsey; daughters, Angela Leatherman, Rhonda Leatherman; son, Brad Ramsey; brothers, John Ramsey, Carl Ramsey; grandchildren, David Leatherman, Elijah Leatherman, Abbigail Leatherman, Paigeland Gragg, Samantha Leatherman, and six great grandchildren.

The Ramsey family has entrusted funeral arrangements to Drum Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Conover, NC.
