Charles "Chuck" Edelbert Ringer

Charles Edelbert (Chuck) Ringer, of Conover, passed away on Saturday, September 19,2026 at the age of 91. He was born in Geneva, New York on Wednesday, May 1,1935 to the late Charles Ringer and Elizabeth Wann Ringer.

In addition to his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Linda Ringer and granddaughter, Brittany Gibson.

Chuck was well loved by everyone he met, including the Caretakers at Conover Nursing and Rehabilitation Center who became like family members to him.

He attended Florida State University and enjoyed a sales career at Carolina Glove Company for over 30 years.

Chuck loved hiking the Appalachian trail, camping, traveling and being with family. He never turned down a chance to dance, making people laugh, a game of backyard horseshoes or a perfect martini.

Chuck thoroughly enjoyed reminiscing about the family owned Ringer Bakery in Geneva, New York.

He was a member of the Fraternal order of the Eastern Star.

Those left to cherish his memory are sons, Scott Ringer(Marcell Villareal),Thomas Ringer and Mark Rozzel(Dawn); daughters, Susan Ringer-Drum, Jill Gibson (Jeff) and Dawn DeWitt(Paul).

Grandchildren; Charles Bailey(Dominique), Corby Bailey, D. Samuel Drum, Christopher Clement (Katrina), Madison Ringer, Meredith Ringer, Morgan Ringer, Megan DeWitt, Lindsey Flannery (Byron), Raven Puentes (Julian), Josh Gibson (Ashleigh), Taylor Rozzel, Shelbi Warren (Richard), Emma Gibson, Layla Corwin and Lydia Ringer; multiple great grandchildren.

A memorial service is planned to honor Charles (Chuck) Ringer and will be held at a later date.
