Claude "Dale" Lee Spencer

Dale was a cherished husband, father, and friend. He served in the US Air Force and was employed as an air traffic controller until he retired. Dale enjoyed carpentry, gardening, and he loved to play golf. He was a member of Palm Tree Methodist Church in Vale, NC.

Those left to cherish Dale’s memory are his wife of 66 years, Martha Raye Kanupp Spencer; sons, Paul Spencer (Susan), Christopher Spencer (Kim); daughter, Janet Coffey (Mark); brother, Bill Spencer (Cathy); sisters, Pat Fredell, Josie Fehr (Bob), Nancy Reynolds; grandchildren, Michelle Settlemyre, Hunter Coffey, and Johnathan Spencer (Heather).

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 from 11am - 11:45am at Palm Tree Methodist Church, 7356 Palm Tree Church Rd. Vale, NC 28168.

A funeral service for Dale will be held at 12pm on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at Palm Tree Methodist Church officiated by Reverend Dr. Pat Hannon.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery with military honors.
