

Born on June 11, 1926, he was the son of the late Robert Lee Parker and Ethel Wise Parker. Glenn was a Charter Member of First United Methodist Church in Conover. He was an avid outdoorsman and worked at Broyhill Furniture, Conover Plant where he retired after 52 years of service.
In addition to his parents, Glenn was preceded in death by a son, Wayne Edward Parker; daughter, Peggy Parker Griggs; and brothers, Frank Parker and Ellery Parker.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 66 years, Pauline Farris Parker; daughters, Clara Hyatt and husband, Bill of Newton, and Tina Hudson and husband, Sam of Hickory; grandchildren, Jessica Lyons and husband, Jamie of Conover, Lana Hefner and husband, Jimmy of Hickory, and Thomas Adam Strider of Claremont; great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Joseph, Natalie, and Bentley.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, March 14, 2016 in the Chapel of Drum Funeral Home in Conover with Rev. Dr. Gary Royals officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 p.m. until 3:15 at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at May’s Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Maiden.
