Harry Everett Carpenter, III, of Morganton passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at the age of 73. Harry was born on Monday, August 25, 1952 to the late Harry E. Carpenter II and Adelle K. Carpenter.
In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by his daughter, Meredith Eller; and his brother, Steven Carpenter.
Harry was dedicated to his family. He worked as an instructor in education where he taught history, geography, and technology.
Those left to cherish Harry’s memory are his wife, Flora Carpenter; son, Harry E. Carpenter, IV (Montana); sisters, Phyllis A. Cyphers (Don), Susan L. Carpenter (Debbie).
A Gathering of Friends to celebrate Harry’s life will be held at Drum Funeral Home on Friday, July 17, 2026 from 10am to 11am. Burial will follow at Eastview Cemetery.
