Helen Louise Little

Born July 8, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Walter and Jennie Pope Brown.

She was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Claremont and was a homemaker. She enjoyed square dancing with her husband. She also loved to travel and see new places. She loved her son and grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl William “Pete” Little and a brother, Thomas Walter Brown, Jr.

Survivors include a son, Bill E. Little of Hickory; a sister, Margie B. Whitener and husband, Jack of Claremont; a granddaughter, Christian L. Thomas and husband, Lloyd E. Thomas; two great grandchildren, Wesley Alan Shook and Christopher Edward Thomas and a former daughter-in-law, Patty Little; niece, Jill Brown and husband Doug and their children, Shawn and Patrick Brown of Claremont, and sister-in-law, Nancy Dye and husband, Earl of Southport, NC.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at 3:00 on Sunday, April 21, 2013 in the chapel of Drum Funeral Home in Conover. The Rev. Gary Haddock and Rev. William Hollar will officiate and burial will follow in St. Mark’s Lutheran Church cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday, April 21, 2013 from 2:00-2:45 p.m. at Drum Funeral Home in Conover.
