Helen Elaine Young

of Roland Young, whom she married on April 1, 1949, and whom proceeded her in death four years ago.

Also proceeding her in death were her parents, Reinder and Jennie Rosenberg; four brothers, John, William, Herman, and Ronald Rosenberg;

one sister, Jane Dirksen; and one grandson, Zachary David Young.

Helen is survived by her four sons, Rodney (Anne) Young, Roland “Spike” (Terry), Ronald “Speed” (Lisa), and Richard Young; one daughter, Jennifer Miller; one sister, Betty Basler; eleven grandchildren, Nathan Young and Jessica Morrison, Andy and Ryan Miller, Niki Kelly, Chad and Mark Young, Alexandria Crawford, Mandy Young, Holly Crawford and Matt Young; along with nineteen great grandchildren.

Helen was employed for over thirty years at Bassett Furniture, Upholstery Division, in Customer Service.

A memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church of Newton on Saturday, August 20, at 2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church, First Presbyterian Church of Newton, 701 N. Main Ave., Newton, NC 28658,

in care of the Deacon’s Fund.
