Jimmie David Sherrill Jr.

Jimmie David Sherrill Jr., of Catawba, North Carolina, entered his heavenly rest on November 14, 2025. A man known for his big heart, quick humor, and love of anything with an engine, he brought light and laughter wherever he went.

He is survived by his father, Jimmie Sherrill Sr., and his mother, Gennie Catherine Blanton, both of Newton, NC; his son, William Buckner of Locust; his daughter, Ashley Gower of Charlotte; his sisters, Angela Reynolds of Fort Mill, SC, and Sonya Barker of Newton; his beloved grandchildren, Addison Gower and Ayden Gower; as well as several nephews and one niece, all of whom he cherished deeply.

For four decades at CommScope, Jimmie formed lifelong friendships, shared his humor and warmth freely, and approached every task with unwavering dedication. Our family sincerely appreciates 4 decades of support from his CommScope family and the continued love and care they have offered us since his passing.

Off the clock, he was usually chasing the next ride or tinkering with something fast. His wit sparked laughter, and his smile could soften even the heaviest moments.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at his home. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and honor the life of a truly unforgettable man.
