Johnny was born in Catawba County on January 5, 1940 to the late George Spurgeon Galloway and Lou Etta Mews. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church.
In addition to his parents, Johnny is preceded in death by his three brothers, James Galloway, Bill Galloway and Garvin Galloway.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Carolyn; sons, Stewart Galloway and wife, Cindy, and Greg Galloway; sister, Betty Hass; grandchildren, Sandra Penley, Jesse Galloway, David Galloway, Keisha Edmondson, and Matthew Galloway; and 6 great-grandchildren.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Catawba, NC with Rev. Greg Alms officiating; burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park in Hickory, NC. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 p.m. – 12:45 p.m. prior to the service.
