Joyce Dean Hartsoe Edwards, 86, was born on April 10, 1940, to the late Olan Hartsoe and Moena Gilland Hartsoe. Joyce passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at Westwood Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation.
She loved to paint, finding quiet meaning and expression in the colors and care she brought to her work.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Sigmon Edwards; brothers, Wade Hartsoe and Junior Hartsoe; and sisters, Nancy Hartsoe Smith and Jean Crouse.
Joyce is survived by her son, Jerry Hoke and wife Gayle; daughter, Ann Canipe and husband Robert; grandchildren, Kristian Canipe, Cory Allen Hoke and Samantha Lynn Church; and great-grandchildren, Samuel Canipe, Kathryn Canipe, Bella Church, and Mariana Church.
A gathering of friends and family will be held at Drum Funeral Home at 4 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cardinal Care Hospice.
