Katheryne Bryant Sigmon, 77, of Hickory, passed away Sunday, April 2, 2023 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born Monday, July 30, 1945, in York, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Betty Bryant.
Kathy enjoyed reading, talking to friends and in earlier years did cross-stitching, needlepoint, and crocheting. Most important to her was spending time with family.
She is survived by her husband of almost 60 years, Ronald Sigmon; son, Scott Sigmon and wife Lori; daughter, Lori Icenhour and husband Jerry; brother, John Bryant and wife Sandra; grandson, Noah Sigmon and wife Autumn; and several nieces and nephews.
The service to celebrate Kathy’s life will be Thursday, April 6, 2023 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Drum Funeral Home in Conover, with the Rev. Heather Langan officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mark’s Cemetery in Claremont, NC.
A receiving of friends will be 1:00-1:45 pm prior to the service.
