Larry Stephen Houser

Larry Stephen Houser, age 71, of Claremont, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at Wake Forest University Medical Center. Born August 24, 1942, he was the son of the late Thomas Pinkney Houser and Mary Bea Wilson Houser. Larry was a mechanic at Ryder Truck Rental and Larry Schronce Ford. He attended Bethel Lutheran Church in Claremont and a beloved husband, father and grandfather.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 49 years, Tilma Sigmon Houser, of the home; son, Kevin Houser and wife, Darla, of Claremont; brother, Wayne Houser and wife, Jackie, of Vale; granddaughter, Kylee Houser; nephew, Coley Houser; niece, Lindsay Todd and husband, Stephen; their children, Raegan Todd and Avery Todd.

A Service of Remembrance will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Bethel Lutheran Church with Rev. Eric Hollar and Rev. William Duey officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Drum Funeral Home in Conover on Friday, November 1, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
