Lawrence Burton Evans

In addition to his parents, Lawrence was preceded in death by his his wife of 52 years, Helen Louise Evans; brothers, Lewis, Sidney, Earl and Kenny Evans; and step daughter, Vickie Sigmon.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Kenny B. Evans and wife Lynn of Newton; daughter, Tina Evans Buckner and husband Ronnie of Lincolnton; brother, Will Evans and wife Patricia of Newton; sister, Margaret Travis and husband Randy of Maiden; grandchildren, Kenny Evans, Patrick and wife Samantha, Thomas and wife Taylor, Jarred and girlfriend Chelsea, Nate and fiancé Paige all of Newton, and Danielle Surgeon; great grandchildren, Chris Setzer and girlfriend Santana of Virginia; Ava, Asher, Abram and Amelia Evans.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, September 3, 2022 at Lifepoint Church of Hickory with Pastor Matthew Prince officiating with Military Honors presented by US Navy and Caldwell County Veterans Honor Guard following the service.
