Lois Lillian Herman

Lois Lillian Herman, age 85, of Conover, NC, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at Carillon Assisted Living in Newton, NC. Born in Catawba County on January 16, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Claude C. Herman and Lillian McGill Herman. She was a member of Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ and retired from a clerical position in the hosiery industry.

In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by three brothers, William Paul Herman, Carl Franklin Herman, and Henry Glenn Herman.

She is survived by nieces, Ann Herman of Greensboro, Myra Herman Orders and husband, Lee, of Newton; nephew, Thomas Herman and wife, Debbie, of Claremont; great-nieces, Ashley Orders, Amanda Orders, Jessica Herman; and one great-nephew, Glenn Herman.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Drum Funeral Home in Conover with Rev. Peggy Stout and Rev. Tom Hamilton officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.

A private graveside service will be held at Conover City Cemetery on Saturday, January 18, 2014.
