I am so saddened by this news. It breaks my heart. I met Lori when I started teaching at Har-Bur 22 years ago. She became my mentor and best friend at Har-bur. She hosted a baby shower for me when my son was born. Over the years, I've stayed in touch with her. Several years ago, I was able to visit her in NC when I went there with my family. Although, I hadn't seen her in year, it was as if no time had past. She was one of those friends that I thought I would alway have even though time and distance sometimes seperated us. I am just so sad to know I won't be able to speak with her again. I loved her. She was straight forward. Said it like it is. She had a great sense of humor. She will be truely missed by me. I will treasure the time I was lucky enough to share with her and I will always feel blessed that she was in my life. My deepest sympathy to her family and friends.
