

Ann was born on Saturday, July 9, 1938 to the late John Taylor Fairchild and Louise Smith Fairchild.
In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her husband, James “Jimmy” Harley Sigmon; and brother, Michael Taylor Fairchild.
Ann was a cherished member of her family. She was a lifelong member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Conover, NC where she served as the church secretary for 38 years. Her faith was an important part of her life. She will be greatly missed.
Those left to cherish Ann’s memory are sons, Ronald Sigmon (Cathy), David Sigmon; daughter, Angela Sigmon (Gary); sister, Ellen Dyson; grandchildren, Jonathan Sigmon, Emily Sigmon, Lindsay Harrison (Brian), and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would also like to extend a special "Thank You" to the staff at Brookdale Hickory NE for their love and care of Ann over the past seven plus years.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025 from 10am to 10:45am at Concordia Lutheran Church, 216 5th Ave SE, Conover, NC 28613.
A funeral service for Ann will be held at 11am on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at Concordia Lutheran Church, with Reverend Michael Geml officiating. Burial will follow at Conover City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Concordia Lutheran Church, 216 5th Ave SE, Conover, NC 28613.
