Melvin Earl Jonas

Born January 13, 1936, in Taylorsville, NC, he was the son of the late Butler Stevenson Jonas and Effie Ellen Bentley Jonas.

In addition to his parents, Melvin was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Jonas; son, Dale Jonas, son Kelse Jonas, brother, Carroll Jonas, brother, John Jonas, brother, Paul Jonas and brother, Lynnie Jonas

Melvin was an entrepreneur, owning a number of successful businesses during his career. He enjoyed many passions; from racing cars to flying airplanes and everything in between. He was a proud veteran of the Korean war. He enjoyed adventure travel, seeing new sights and meeting new friends. Melvin never stopped dreaming of the next adventure or business idea.

Melvin is survived by his wife, Teresa Jonas of Thomasville, NC, his daughter Debra Little and husband Robert of Fort Mill, SC; daughter in law Kelli Jonas of Conover, NC; sisters, Ruth Tyndall and husband Earl of Conover, NC; Anne McDonald and husband Wayne of Taylorsville, NC; Faye Roether and husband Randy of Taylorsville, NC. Grandchildren, Brandon Jonas and wife Lauren of Cerro Gordo, NC, Daniel Little and wife Michelle of Charlottsville, VA, Matthew Little of Fort Mill, SC, Colby Jonas of Conover, NC. Great grandson Brooks Jonas and Great Granddaughter Emilia Little as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
