Pamela Jane Deal Newton

Born on February 16, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Victor Gerald Deal, Sr. and Peggy Jane Smyre Deal. Pamela was a lifelong member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Conover. She enjoyed being a nurse at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte and Huntersville where she retired after 30 years of service. Pamela’s greatest joy was helping people and spending time with her family. One of her favorite past times was spending time at Camp Linn Haven in Linville, NC where she loved to reminisce with friends and family. Pamela will be dearly missed.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 26 years, John Newton of the home; daughter, Lydia Newton of Raleigh; brother, Victor Deal, Jr. and wife, Darlene of Zionville; sister, Susan Deal of Conover; and nephews, Brandon, Bryan, Christopher, and Craig all of Conover.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at Concordia Lutheran Church in Conover, NC. Rev. Dennis Quackenboss and Vicor Jim Kent will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service.
