Patricia Ellen Simmons Herman

She was born in Catawba County on December 24, 1936, and was the daughter of Ralph B. Simmons and Effie Dellinger Simmons.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert (Bobby) Lee Herman; brothers, Charlie, Paul, Joe, Eddie and Lewis Simmons; and sisters, Neva House and Nell DePeterse.

She is survived by her daughters, Alice Merbach and husband, Bill, Robin Lail and husband, Joey; and eight grandchildren.

Patricia was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Conover.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Conover on Friday, May 12, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Rev. Scott Johnson and Pastor Anton Lagoutine. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Conover City Cemetery in Conover.

A memorial can be given to the local Relay for Life Campaign, c/o American Cancer Society, 1901 Brunswick Ave., Suite 100, Charlotte, NC 28207.
