Paul was always a good friend & a kind spirit. Every time we saw each other, we'd say, "What's up classmate?", REALLY loud! When you know someone for most of your life, you become just like family. So to me, Paul was another brother, on the list of several, and will truly be missed, but always remembered. Rest peacefully my friend. God bless you Strickland family.

Strickland Family - Paul is smiling and laughing as he explains to all around him how much love and devotion he was shown and enjoyed from each and all of his family. Our Lord has held Paul in His loving arms while comforting each of you during this long journey for Paul, but through it all, Paul has left each of you with loving memories to cherish. May God grant you His enduring peace through this uneasy time and may you wrap your loving arms around each other as you pass through this dark shadow and reach the shining light. Paul is healthy now and would wish for each of you to be happy for him and his good fortune to be beside his heavenly Father for the upcoming season of love and joy! May God grant you His love, peace and mercy always.

Such a sweet friend in high school. I have many fond memories of band, beach trips, bowling and just hanging out. He will be missed by many.

I really don't know what to say except Paul was one one of the greatest friends I ever had....So many memories I could share but I don't know where to start...One of the funnest times we had together was going to the 2008 N-C State Championship game with Joey Heath and going to the game the next day to watch East Lincoln play...Paul was yelling at the opposing teams fans and Joey and I were like"We don't know him"....but that was Paul...Never new a stranger...Man I will miss him...May the family find peace in knowing he isn't suffering anymore...And from your friend"The big dummy",go rest high up on that mountain...R.I.P. my brother.....

Just what can I say about my Brother Paul, except that he was a mess ! A silly mess. But he was our mess, aways ready and willing to see all around him laugh. His spirit was one that seemed to always be filled with joy. His love for his Lord, was seen in and through his love for his wife Mrs.April and his family and friends. Whenever some one has that kind of joy and love in their spirit, it makes a Preacher's work all the more joyful. I will miss you my Brother, but I will never forget you. I will look for you at the feet of Jesus, when I join you in glory.

Paul's smile could light up any room. He always served his fellow men to the best of his ability. He was unselfish in his efforts to make someone's life easier, brighter or better. We will always remember him with warmth and a smile. He has truly earned his "Heavenly Wings and Halo"!
Love always, Ralph and Evelyn Yount
