

Richard “Rick” Sydney Carson, 84, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. A devoted husband, brother, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Rick’s life was defined by his unwavering dedication to those he cherished most.
Born in June 1941, Rick spent his life building not only a career but a legacy of hard work and loyalty. He worked in the flooring industry with pride and passion, most recently retiring from Aurora Hardwoods located in Kennesaw Georgia, December 2024. His craftmanship and commitment earned him the respect of colleagues and customers alike.
Rick was a true patriot, serving his country in both the United States Air Force and the Navy Reserves. His love for America was matched only by his love for Alabama football-he was a die-hard fan who never missed a chance to cheer on the Crimson Tide. “Roll Tide” was more than a phrase; it was a part of who he was.
Those who knew Rick will remember his warm heart, his quick wit, and the way he made everyone feel like family. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the memories he created.
He is survived by his wife, Angie Williams of the home, his son, Scott Carson and wife Sherry, his daughter, Cara Carson and his grandchildren Connery Carson and Wife Andrea, Chelsea Carson Blue and husband Johnny, Lacy Creson, Farrah Harmond and husband Will, Tabbath Hoeppner and husband Phillip, step children, Julie Williams Anselmo and husband Marcelo, Jennifer Williams Cooper and husband Rudi Cronje, plus numerous great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Lenda Carson Farmer, Brenda Carson Roberson, Robin Carson Willmon and husband, Jimmy, plus numerous nieces and nephews.
Rick was preceded in death by his father Carl Wilmer Carson and mother Zelda Sue Graves Carson and brothers, Bobby Carson, Steve Carson, and Phillip Carson.
A memorial service will be held at First Methodist Church, 410 1st Ave N, Conover, NC 28613 on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 1pm where friends and loved ones will gather to celebrate a life well lived.
Rick Carson will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
