

Born June 28, 1944, in Catawba County, he was the son of the late Glenn McDaughton ”Mack” Carpenter and Mildred Joyce Dimsdale Carpenter. He was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Claremont.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Jerry Carpenter.
Ronald was survived by his son, Ashley and wife Atefeh Carpenter; daughter, Lorresa and husband James LaFrancis; sisters, Pam Ervin and her son, Chris, Judy and husband Robert Boggs; grandchildren, Jacob and Jessalyn LaFrancis, Madeline and Ebbie Carpenter.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at Bethel Lutheran Church with Rev. Eric Hollar officiating. Burial will follow in the Claremont City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be friends and family.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to the Paralyzed Veterans of America at 801 18th St. NW Washington, DC 20006.
The family would like to give a “special” thank you to Rev. Eric Hollar for his ministry, special prayers and faithful visits.
