Sarah “Geraldine” Robinson Bumgarner, age 95, of Newton, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2025. Geraldine was born on Friday, June 7, 1929 to the late Peter Paul Robinson, Sr. and Susan Huffman Robinson.
In addition to her parents, Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh E. Bumgarner; brother, Peter Paul Robinson, Jr; sisters, Louise Finger and Irene Deitz.
Geraldine lived a full life. She was loved greatly and will be missed.
Those left to cherish Geraldine’s memory are nephews, Steve Deitz and wife Donna, Terry Robinson and wife Wanda, Gary Finger and wife Becky; nieces, Glenda Mathis and husband Hank, Phyllis Whitener, and many great nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service for Geraldine will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at St. Paul’s Memorial Garden, 2279 NC-10, Newton, NC 28658 with Pastor Rob Helton officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Carolina Caring, 3975 Robinson Rd, Newton, NC 28658 or to St. Paul's Reformed Church General Fund, 3562 Startown Rd, Newton, NC 28658.
