Ted Joseph Tate, age 59, of Hickory, passed away on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory. He was born September 28,1961 in Catawba County, the son of Verna Tate Sherrill and the late James Kenneth Sherrill.
In addition to his mother, Ted is survived by a son, Jonathan Tate; daughter, Heather McKinney; brothers, James Tate and Scott Marlow, sister, Susie Sluter; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service to celebrate Ted’s life will be held at a later date at Green Hill Cemetery in Waynesville, NC.
