She is survived by her son, Kevin Houser and wife, Darla; her granddaughter, Kylee Houser; her sister, Janice Sigmon and husband, Ted; a special niece, Kim Kaylor; her lifelong best friend, Alta "AJ" Sells; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Larry Houser; her sisters, Betty Bowman, Shirley Henson, and Carolyn "Jeannie" Sigmon; and her brothers, Charles Sigmon and Harold Sigmon.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, March 6, 2026, with a receiving of friends an hour prior from 1:45 PM to 2:45 PM at Bethel Lutheran Church, 5759 Bolick Rd, Claremont, NC 28610. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Pastor Morgan Lane will be officiating.
The Houser family is under the care of Drum Funeral Home in Conover, NC.
