Tina was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Parkhurst.
Tina was a beloved daughter and sister. She worked as a cosmetologist for many years and she was the owner of Jagged Edge salon. Tina also worked at Foot Hills Disability Law as a claims expert. Tina loved to sing, watch movies and fish. She liked conversation and enjoyed talking to anyone she thought would listen.
Those left to cherish Tina’s memory are her mother and father, William and Mary Ann Parkhurst; sister, April Layne (Tony); beloved son, Derick Smith; special Aunt Glenda Campbell; special niece Autumn Layee; special nephew, Duane Matthews; and many other loved aunts, uncle, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30pm to 2:45pm at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 2126 St Johns Church Rd NE, Conover, NC 28613.
A funeral service for Tina will be held at 3pm on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at St. John’s Lutheran Church with Pastor Luke Self and Pastor Anton Lagoutine officiating.
