AB Strozier was called home from this life to be with his Lord and Savior on February 20, 2021 in Conroe, Texas. AB was born on August 18, 1927 in Riverside, Texas to Clarence and Nora (Inglis) Strozier. He lived a full and blessed 93 plus years residing the majority of those years in Willis. He graduated from Willis High School in 1946 and was a Willis School Board Member for 16 years. His family and friends knew him as a God loving Christian man who understood the meaning of the word service. He served many years as a Deacon at the First Baptist Church of Willis. He lived his life with a hard work ethic and led by example as a construction contractor. His family and friends knew him best as a loving husband, father, grandfather and a loyal friend. He loved nature and was an avid fisherman, hunter and gardener. He could fix and build anything and loved to share his latest inventions. He was a member of the Spring Creek Bluegrass Club and he and Betty spent many a weekend attending Bluegrass Festivals. He loved sports and if it rolled, flew or bounced, he was watching it. AB was a character with a mind for storytelling, he could spin a story and have everyone in tears with laughter. His many tales will live on with family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his brothers, Harrell “Salty” Strozier and Richard Strozier. He is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Betty Jo; daughter, Linda Darland; sons, Paul Strozier and wife Terri; Mark Strozier and wife Kim; grandchildren, Phillip “Shannon” Darland, Christopher Darland (Cindy), Jennifer Mazon (Tucker), August Bonner Strozier and Emily Schaubert (Corey); great grandchildren Kara, Kaden & Katie Darland and Brecken & Brooks Mazon.
