Albert Pike Maddox II, 45 of Conroe, passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. Pike as he was lovingly known, was born September 30, 1979, in Conroe, Texas to Jack and Deborah Maddox. Pike was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend to all whose kindness and strength left an incredible mark on all who knew him.
Pike attended and graduated from New Waverly High School in 1999. After graduation he moved to Colorado where he started his lifelong trade in the electrical industry. Once he moved back to Texas, he worked for Finway Electric and soon joined the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union in February 2012. This induction to the union opened the door for Pike to travel the world helping those that had lost electricity due to natural disasters with multiple companies as a lineman. With him ending his career at Brightstar.
When he was not at work, he loved to go hunting and fishing. He enjoyed playing cornhole, dancing, cold beer and a good laugh. Anyone who knew Pike, knew him as the life of the party. Above all else, his first love was his family. He lived his life to the fullest and never met a stranger.
Pike was a board member and coach of the Conroe Area Youth Baseball and Conroe Baseball Club. He also volunteered with the multiple Youth Rodeo Organizations, doing anything and everything he could do to help. From turning out bulls to watering down the arena, you could always count on Pike to be there.
Pike was always a leader. It did not matter if he was your co-worker, coach or friend, he had a unique way of delivering tough love that you could not help but to respect.
He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Brandy Maddox, sons Gage, Riley and Collin Maddox, parents Jack and Deborah Maddox, brother Coby Lee Maddox and wife Dakota Bagwell-Maddox, brother Nicholas Tate Maddox and wife Marissa Maddox and their children Max and Jaxon Maddox, along with numerous other family members and a host of friends. Pike was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Jack D. Maddox and Lena Mae Maddox McNeil and maternal grandparents Rufus Mozingo and Martha Brooks Mozingo.
Pike’s family will welcome visitors to Cashner Funeral Home on Sunday, January 12, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Funeral services are planned for Monday, January 13, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Restoration Church in Montgomery, TX. Graveside services will follow at Garden Park Cemetery in Conroe, TX. Serving as pallbearers are Gage Maddox, Riley Maddox, Coby Maddox, Tate Maddox, Bobby Finley, BJ Arceneaux, Brainer Sanchez and Jason Raverty.
Reception to follow burial at North Montgomery County Community Center in Willis, TX until 8pm.
