Alfred “Al” David Trull, Jr. went to be with our heavenly father on Saturday November 1, 2025 at the age of 74. He was born in Waxahachie, TX on July 14, 1951 to the late Alfred and Thomasine Trull. He graduated from Midlothian High School in 1969 and attended electronics school, settling in Houston, TX to work for Xerox until he retired in 2014. He married the love of his life, Teresa, on April 25, 1987. They were happily married for 38 years, and he raised four loving children.
He enjoyed spending time with family, piddling in the garage, and playing on the lake. He had a zest for life and wanted to enjoy it to the fullest, whether it was slinging kids off an inner tube on the lake, trying to make his grandkids laugh with silly faces, or sitting with his children and wife watching all his favorite sci-fi shows. He will be remembered by his fierce love for his family, his “Mr. Fix-it” attitude along with his ability to figure out how to fix anything, and his willingness to help whenever it was needed.
In 2015, he received a double lung and liver transplant that saved his life and allowed us to experience an additional ten years of life with him. His resilience and fighting spirit in the face of major obstacles and setbacks over the last decade is a testament to his strong will and desire to be there for his family, no matter what.
He is preceded in death by his mother, father, and two sisters, Fredlyn and Gayle. He is survived by his loving wife Teresa Trull, his sons Robert Dereck and wife Kat, David Heath and wife Jennifer, his daughters Stacie Dearinger and husband Josh, Amber Barnes and husband Logan, nine grandchildren (Cheyenne, Gage, Kaydence, Lylah, Piper, Avery, Adam, Lucas, and Marina), and one great-granddaughter (Iris).
Dad / Papa was a loving and strong-willed patriarch, the foundation and stone pillar on which our family was built, and he will be greatly missed. His final words were “I want to thank God; I have been a very lucky man”. He leaves behind a wonderful legacy that was instilled in his children and grandchildren, and he is no longer suffering in this world but rejoicing in heaven.
Visitation for Al will be held Wednesday, November 5, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Cashner Funeral Home, (801 Teas Road, Conroe, TX 77303).
