Althea Faye Linton

Althea Faye Gore Linton was born in Mt. Braddock, Pennsylvania on July 12, 1936 to Earl Gore and Helen Martin, and went home to be with her Lord and Savior on August 21, 2019. Faye was the oldest of four children and upon the death of her father at an early age, she put her education on hold and stayed home to take care of her younger siblings. Later Faye was able to complete her education and began her career working in Washington D.C. where she met her husband John, who was at the time, serving in the military. Faye worked her way up in the banking system she worked for and became an officer for the bank. Faye was a member of second Baptist Church in Huntsville.

Faye is preceded in death by her husband, John Robert Linton; parents, Earl and Helen Gore; step dad, George Glass; sister, Sara Jobes.

Faye was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, affectionately known as MeMa. She leaves behind her children, Deborah Ann Chancellor and husband John, Susan Elaine Roberts and husband Keith, and John Robert Linton Jr.; grandchildren, Marissa Anderson, Michael Chancellor, Andy Traylor, Meagan Defrance, Kati Baker, Sarah Burkhalter; brother, Mirl Gore and wife Loraine; sister, Dana Gore Fetsko and husband Joe; brother, George Glass and wife Cindy; as well as a host of great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Monday, August 26, 2019 at second Baptist Church in Huntsville, Texas from 1:00pm-2:00pm with the funeral service beginning at 2:00pm. The graveside service will follow at Garden Park Cemetery at 4:00pm.
