Alton Dave Call passed away peacefully on February 11, 2014 surrounded by his wife and three daughters. Alton was born in Dallas, Texas to Thurman David and Ledona Myrtle Call on April 30, 1930. Throughout his life he was active in the Alaska Shrine Temple, Royal Order of Jesters, IADC, was a Charter Member of the Kenai Elks Lodge, and the American Legion.
Alton is survived by his loving wife Gloria Bogardus-Call of Conroe, TX, daughters Adrienne King, Lisa Call, and Ellen Call all of Anchorage, AK, step-sons Tim Bogardus and wife Heather and Tobey Bogardus and wife Karen, son-in-law Tim King, and grandchildren Cori Steed, Casey King, Nathan, Natalie, and Bryan Sloan, and Kylie and Brayden Steed.
Family was very important to him and entertained everyone with his lifelong stories. He will be dearly missed by all that knew him.
A memorial service will be held at Metcalf Funeral Directors in the Chapel Saturday, February 16, 2014 at 2:00 pm. Memorial contributions can be made to Shriner’s Children’s Hospital at shrinershospitalsforchildren.org
